Securitization Structuring Expertise
PAFC works with a wide range of financial institutions, from potential first-time issuers to frequent issuers, from small asset originators to large financial institutions. We’re involved in transactions from $50 million to $1 billion.
In many cases, PAFC can invest in transactions through its proprietary conduit, Freedom Park Capital. Freedom Park can make funding commitments of up to five years, a rare capability in the asset-backed commercial paper conduit market. And Freedom Park’s proprietary and flexible structure provides our clients with uninterrupted funding for the entire term of the commitment. In other words, PAFC’s conduit offers valuable liquidity risk insurance. Transactions can be on- or off -balance sheet, offering capital relief in many cases.
For clients that are new to the capital markets, our team takes a hands-on approach, working with each client to identify appropriate pools of assets, and then structuring a transaction that fi ts the client’s needs and is consistent with the needs of securitization participants (rating agencies, guarantors and investors). For frequent issuers, PAFC has the ability to structure and invest in large transactions at competitive pricing.
Funding Vehicle Management and Consolidation
PAFC has sponsored and administered Freedom Park Capital since 2004. As administrator, PAFC performs a wide range of functions, including funding decisions, commercial paper dealer relationship management, trade execution, settlement coordination, cash flow reconciliation, compliance testing and rating agency and investor reporting. PAFC is also the primary beneficiary and, therefore, consolidates Freedom Park. PAFC offers these services to specialty finance companies, banks and others that want to access the capital markets but have neither the in-house expertise to manage funding vehicles nor the capacity to consolidate funding vehicles.
Advisory
PAFC’s extensive experience in securitization, funding and liquidity management is put to use to help our clients design or optimize their funding strategies. Whether a client seeks to access the capital markets, to diversify its funding sources, or improve its overall liquidity position, PAFC’s team can assist. As necessary, PAFC also can draw on the vast regulatory expertise of our affiliate company, Promontory Financial Group, a regulatory and compliance consulting firm.
